Metabolic control of cardiovascular function

Focus

Each cell has an individual metabolic signature. Whereas DNA and RNA are composed of 4 bases and proteins of 20 amino acids, the metabolome of a cell comprises 600 annotated plus numerous uncharacterized metabolites. We explore the functional metabolomics space to investigate their physiological function and clinical relevance.
